Marfield Capital Group was closing a commercial property acquisition in Dubai. The deal required a full translation of the 200-page English master agreement into Arabic for UAE regulatory filing within 4 business days. A general translation vendor had already been turned down by the client's Dubai legal team for inaccurate rendering of the liability caps and force majeure clauses -- sections where precise wording has direct financial consequence.
We assigned a legal translator with Arabic-English background in commercial property law and UAE regulatory filing conventions. The translator and reviewer were given specific instructions on the two flagged clause areas. Each clause was cross-referenced against standard UAE commercial agreement terminology. The client received a review-package delivery on day 3 with clause-by-clause notes on any departure from the source language.
The Dubai legal team accepted the translation without revision requests. The deal closed on the original timeline. Marfield Capital now uses us for all international legal document translation.
Luminate Goods was expanding their Shopify store into Germany, France, and Italy simultaneously. Their product line had 340 SKUs, each with product descriptions, technical specs, shipping information, and a return policy. Their internal team had used automated translation tools for a test batch and found that the German product descriptions in particular had generated negative customer comments about language quality in a focus group.
We assigned three separate specialist teams -- one per target market -- each with consumer goods and copywriting backgrounds in their respective language. Rather than translating the English descriptions word-for-word, each team was briefed on the product positioning, target customer, and brand voice before writing. German product descriptions were rewritten to match German consumer expectations around technical detail and directness. French and Italian versions adapted the brand personality accordingly.
German conversion rate improved 28% within 60 days of relaunch. French and Italian markets hit projected targets within the first quarter. The client added two more European markets in Q2.
